MASHATU TENTED CAMP

A safari in the "Land of the Giants" will take you back in time to an age-old Africa where vast herds of elephant roamed the plains and ghostly baobab trees stood proud

		Location Mashatu Game Reserve, located in the remote eastern corner of Botswana, at the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe rivers, is a diverse wilderness of savannah, riverine forests, open plains, marshland and sandstone outcrops. Mashatu is also home to no less than seven of Africa's giants: the African elephant, the lion, giraffe, the baobab tree, the eland, the ostrich,
and the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird.

Accommodations Accommodation at Mashatu's Main Camp, with a maximum capacity of thirty-four guests, consists of 12 insect-proofed well appointed superior bedrooms with "his" and "hers" bathrooms, a double and extra large single bed and a private verandah overlooking the surrounding bush, and 5 standard rooms with en-suite bathroom and 2 extra large single beds, situated within the central area of the
camp. All rooms are supplied with 24 hour electricity, air-conditioning and heating, insect-proof screening on all windows and sliding doors, insect repellent, purified water and a supply of up-to-date magazines.

Facilities & Activities
Game drives in open vehicles, a reed-enclosed boma where dinner is served under the stars, 24-hour electricity, a full range of guest amenities, insect repellent supplied on all vehicles, laundry service, a cosy Safari bar featuring an international selection of beverages, a Safari boutique and a Discovery/Educational Centre.
