The Augrabies Falls National Park, established in 1966, to protect the water falls and the surrounding area, contains one of the finest cataract falls in the world, where the Orange River thunders down 56m into a deep ravine. Animal and plant life in this area include from the very smallest succulents to quiver trees, birds, lizards and small game such as springbok, steenbok,

monkeys, various wild cats and larger game such as gemsbok and the endangered black rhino. The Park also offers a 3-day hiking trail with 2 overnight facilities, three 1-hour nature trails and swimming pools for resident guests in the Rest Camp. The access road to the camp is tarred. The best months of the year to visit the Park is from March to October.

The Augrabies Falls Park is located 38km north-west of Kakamas and 120km from Upington.

Picnic sites and ablution facilities for day visitors, 3 swimming pools for residents, shop, restaurant serving a-la-carte meals and light refreshments, ladies bar, fuel, communal kitchen and ablution facilities, waterfall view points, Klipspringer 3-day hiking trail, three 1-hour nature trails and night drives during peak holiday periods.

Cancellations:
• Up to 30 days before visit - full refund
• 30 to 15 days before visit - 75% refund
• 14 to 7 days before visit - 50% refund
• Less that 7 days before visit - no refund
• A R50 processing fee will be charged for cancellations.
