The Wilderness National Wetland Park, located between George and Knysna, backdropped by the Outeniqua Mountains, in the heart of the Garden Route, is a magical world of lakes, tranquil rivers, estuaries, forests and lovely beaches. The park was created to protect the rich fauna and flora of the Wilderness wetland and coastal area.

The Park offers a network of walking trails winding through densely wooded forests along tranquil rivers, lakes and streams, the home of many colourful bird species including the Knysna Loerie and various kingfishers.
The access and all internal roads are gravelled.

Restcamp location
The Ebb and Flow Restcamps are located on the banks of the Touw River, near the N2 freeway, 4km from Wilderness, 15km from George 315km from Port Elizabeth and 415km from Cape Town.

Accommodation
All accommodation is serviced daily and supplied with bedding, towels and soap.
Ebb and Flow South Camp
• 4-bed 2-bedroom Log Cabins on wooden stilts with bathroom (bath) and
  open plan partially equipped kitchen with basic cooking and eating utensils.
• 4-bed 2-bedroom Family Cottages with bathroom (bath) and open plan partially
  equipped kitchen with basic cooking and eating utensils.
• 4-bed Forest Huts with or without private facilities.
• Caravan and camping facilities using communal ablution facilities.
  A maximum of 6 persons, one caravan, sidetent and vehicle, or one tent and
  vehicle, or one motorized caravan with sidetent per campsite.
Ebb and Flow North Camp
• 2-bed bungalows with bathroom (shower) and basic cooking and eating utensils.
• 2-bed huts with basic cooking and eating utensils.
• Caravan and camping facilities using communal ablution facilities.
  A maximum of 6 persons, one caravan, sidetent and vehicle, or one tent and
  vehicle, or one motorized caravan with sidetent per campsite.

Facilities
Shop for basic commodities, laundromat and dryer, communal ablution facilites, communal barbeque facilities, pedal boats and canoes for hire, several nature trails and a 3-day canoe trail for a maximum of 12 people. Fuel, a post office, a chemist, etc. is available at the Wilderness village 4km from the camp.

Gate hours
08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00
During the December/January school holidays 07:00 to 20:00

Full payment required 30 days before arrival

Cancellations:
• Up to 30 days before visit - full refund
• 30 to 15 days before visit - 75% refund
• 14 to 7 days before visit - 50% refund
• Less that 7 days before visit - no refund
• A R50 processing fee will be charged for cancellations.
