		The Mountain Zebra National Park, 6536 hectares of karoo mountain terrain on the northern slopes of the Bankberg Mountains, was established in 1937 to protect a herd of 6 Cape mountain zebra. The Park now offers sanctuary to 200 mountain zebra and antelope originally found in the eastern karoo, eland, springbok, blesbok, steenbok, red hartebeest, black wildebeest, kudu, grey rhebok, duiker,
the mountain reedbuck and the caracal predator.The Park also offers a 3-day hiking trail with 2 overnight facilities, 1-hour nature trail, day walks and swimming pool in the Rest Camp. The best months to visit the Park is March to May.

Accommodation in the Mountain Zebra National Park
• 6-bed Guest House and 4-bed 2-bedroom Family Cottages with bathroom, toilet,
  living room, fully equipped kitchen and outdoor barbecue area. All units have
  electric lights, beds with foam matresses and bedding, towels, cooking and eating
  utensils and are serviced daily.
• Caravan and camping sites with or without 220V power points, using communal
  kitchen and ablution facilities. A maximum of 6 persons, one caravan, sidetent
  and vehicle, or one tent and vehicle, or one motorized caravan with sidetent per
  camp site.

		Facilities and Activities Barbecue and ablution facilities for day visitors, Game viewing from own vehicle, Communal ablution, kitchen and barbecue facilites (wood can be purchased), Swimming pool for resident guests, Petrol and diesel, Post office, Fully licensed a-la-carte restaurant, Shop for curios and basic commodities, Several short nature trails and the Mountain
Zebra Hiking Trail (3 days and 2 nights) for a maximum of 16 hikers.

Cancellations:
• Up to 30 days before visit - full refund
• 30 to 15 days before visit - 75% refund
• 14 to 7 days before visit - 50% refund
• Less that 7 days before visit - no refund
• A R50 processing fee will be charged for cancellations.
